Looking to build a desktop

So I'm finally getting ready to start ordering parts for the desktop that I'll be building. I feel like I've picked out pretty good components for a nice system, but would really like a few extra opinions.

Below is the components list with links from where I'll be ordering. Let me know if these are good choices and/or if there are places where I can get these parts cheaper.

Thanks!

Socket 775 is dead. You wouldn't really want to get anything based on it. AM3 or LGA1156 would be the real choices. Also the RAM you listed is really just a joke. The slowest DDR2 RAM ever.
GTS250 is outdated; doesn't support DirectX11. For a new build, Radeon HD 5k series. 5770 most preferably.
That Ultra power supply is very underpowered for this kind of a build. It only outputs around 360 watts of power that's usable by the components that actually need 90% of the power the system draws.
Here is a faster and bigger drive for 20 more, I'd think it's quite well worth that... http://www.newegg.com/Product/Product.aspx?Item=N82E16822152185

For win7, be sure to get an OEM version... And I'd think Home Premium has everything you need too compared to Professional. Can't be sure though. Check it out.

Ok lets see here... I would of gone for a new Intel i3/i5/i7 system but it depends on your budget and so on.

Case - I would go for this one, look up the reviews its a Very good case, I use the same one myself and have used it for clients many times all with great results, its also cheaper then your current one.
http://www.amazon.com/Antec-Nine-Hu...ref=sr_1_1?ie=UTF8&s=pc&qid=1264624419&sr=1-1

Motherboard - I would personally get a motherboard like the following one because it seems to be a better built board, you can see there are heatsinks around the cpu because of those parts get VERY hot so a heatsink will help keep it cooler.
http://www.newegg.com/Product/Product.aspx?Item=N82E16813131377R

PSU - I would not touch those Ultra Power Supplies they are know to be low quality and the PSU is a VERY important component in your computer, if it blows it can take out all your other parts as well. I suggest you pick up something from Corsair, they are oneo f the Best PSU manufactures around right now. You may pay a bit more but its worth it.

Ram - I would get something like this, its faster ram and not the cheaper generic kind you originally had.
http://www.newegg.com/Product/Product.aspx?Item=N82E16820227248

Video Card - I dont really follow them to much but I would look into ATI you may be able to find a better performing video card for around the same price but im not sure on that, maybe somebody else will offer their suggestions.

Hard Drive - I would go for a WD Black instead just because it will be a little faster & it comes with 5 year warranty instead of the 1-3year warranty the other ones provide but its up to you.

Those are the changes I would suggest, you might be able to find lower prices on other sites also.

Cool man, thanks a lot for the info. I think I'll go with the AM3 setup along with the ATI Radeon 5770 and the beefed up power supply and faster hard drive.

With these changes made, does this sound like a good system?

I'm buying this case because not only do I like the way it looks and the fact that it provides plenty of airflow, but also because there are 4 fans included. I've read about a few people who had problems getting the side of the case back on due to a large fan/heatsink on their processor and the case fan on the side getting in the way; do you think I would have this problem? Also, this might be a very newbie question, but will the processor come with it's own fan/heatsink or will I need to buy my own? If I need to by one, which might you recommend?

The side fan won't be touching the stock cooler that comes with the CPU. And no, you won't need to buy a better one, unless you want to push all the overclock potential out of the CPU.
