Hi and welcome. Any reason that you want to go with AOL to begin with? Their dial up sucks, I can't imagine any other part of their service being any better.

Also, unless you want truckloads of spam email (not that Yahoo does a good job at filtering anyway) I'd suggest removing your email address from your post ;)

I would suspect an AOL problem myself.

I think I'd get a 2nd or 3rd level supervisor on the phone from AOL and demand that they figure out what is wrong.

Something you could try is run Quick Restore to refresh your AOL software.

In the System Tray, right-click the AOL Tray icon, then click System Information.
    Click the Utilities tab.
    Click Quick Restore.
    Click Proceed.
    Click OK.

Note: After running Quick Restore, America Online may be selected as your default Web application. Some Web applications and Auto AOL sessions may need to be reset. However, Favorite Places and mail saved in your Saved on My PC folder will not be lost.

AOL has never gotten the "bugs" out of 9.0 I would try uninstalling 9.0 and install 8.0+. I tried 9.0 and had all kinds of problems with it, went back to 8.0+ and never have a problem.
