Cable company changed cable modems. All computers on the network work fine, got up this morning and one of my computers will not access the interenet. It says...ACQUIRING NETWORK ADDRESS, and never resolves. This is an XP PRO machine.....any good place to start? All computers are hooked to same LINKSYS ROUTER,etc.?

I'd start by determining whether the problem PC is trying to connect via ethernet or wireless. I'd also find out if there are any 3rd party firewalls installed on it.

To confirm, the router hasn't changed and that is what was assigning IP addresses before? Not the modem.
