while preparing to move win 98se hard drive to new m'board I removed all system devices. I can now boot in windows normal, and in safe mode but even though both CD drives are seen by BIOS I have no CD drives in Windows. When I boot from 98 startup diskette with CDROM support my CD drives are functional as drives E: and F. I can copy CABS from drive E: to the hdd C:
I could reinstall windows but do not want to do this. I have the CD for my Sony CDRW drive, but without windows seeing the drive, how do I use it?

I should have said the 2 cd drives appear as F: and G: The Sony CD-RW CD has no directory named drivers, just 2 files, one a big .exe file.

    Anyone there? Any ideas appreciated!
