I have a failed xp o/s and although I have recovered most of my programs and information I cannot find the several hundred e-mails. Does anyone know where I might find them.

Not sure which email program you are using, but in Outlook Express, the email is stored in the C:\Documents and Settings\<username>\Local Settings\Application Data\Identities\{F3C01E33-CAF0-45A0-BC69-4A209533A5C6}\Microsoft\Outlook Express Folder

    Outlook is stored in C:\Documents and Settings\<username>\Local Settings\Application Data\Microsoft\Outlook

The local settings folder is hidden, so you will have to set Windows to show hidden files and folders in the Tools-Folder options of Explorer
