Hello I'm not very clued up in VBA and tend to record macros and then tweak them. Today I used Ctrl-Break to stop a macro, but must have done something else accidentally as I have lost my VBA menus entirely. When I right-click the top of the screen all I see is Restore, Minimise and Close. The Restore Down button is also not working. I have attached a screenshot. I am using Excel 2013 and Windows 10. I have googled this extensively and tried many things, but nothing is working for me. Your help would be much appreciated as I have wasted half a day on this already and am ready to pull my hair out. Thanks!

PS I have also uninstalled and reinstalled Office and rebooted, to no avail.

Are you opening the visual basic editor using ALT + F11 shortcut or are you doing it through the menu bar?

Hi Thanks for your response. The menu buttons aren't there either way. I have tried some other things I found on google, e.g.checking whether Worksheet menu bar was enabled and visible, and VB returns true when I ask this in the Immediate window. The only thing I can think of is that it's hiding off screen, because the locations when I ask what the Left and Top settings are, were both -8 (whatever that means). It is unfortunately beyond my VB knowledge to rearrange menus programmatically. When I press ALT and V/E/O/R etc. all I hear is a system sound and nothing happens.

In the meantime I have got around the issue by creating another user profile and that was unaffected. I also found out while doing that, that user settings are now kept in the cloud, so that would explain why repeatedly deleting my .xlb file wasn't working. I deleted my settings using my Microsoft account, but they say they will remain there until they do a periodic cloud clean-up, which they haven't done since it's still not working. This is not an ideal solution, however, as it's a pain having to maintain 2 logins to do different things.

Any help would be much appreciated. Cheers

Hi Thanks for the research on my behalf. I tried that, but it didn't work unfortunately. I guess I am going to have to wait for them to wipe my settings from the cloud... Cheers
