Windows XP SP#3 system was running fine. Sound was OK. I have a program called Driver Agent that I ran to ensure that all of my Hardware drivers were up to date. After installing the recommended driver for my Sound Card....I no longer have my sound through my computer speakers.
What can I do to recover that sound/music capability?

Go back to the Device Manager and click on Roll Back Driver.

right click on the audio driver and click on properties. then you'll get the Driver option there. And roll back from there. This might help you. and if you really can't roll back the driver (or it's not working), then follow my steps:

Click on 'start'-'All Program'-'Accessories'-'System tools'-'System restore'- Click 'Next'
Then choose a day when your sound was OK...hope u remember the day! Then click 'Next, 'Next'...PC will restart and restore! And you'll have your sound back! ENJOY!

    Take care
