    Hello dear people,

I had two hard drives C (Primary) and D (Slave).
On C I had an old winME
D has a windows XP pro.
I had a dual boot on my system loaded from C.

My C drive has died... I have backup for all my important files so I don't care much BUT now my XP doesn't load... Seems like all the boot file were on the C disk and although the windows XP is installed on D drive it just don't load.

I don't get the repair option since the XP cd does not find any boot files on my D drive(At list this is what I think)...

How can I fix this problem?
Appreciate any idea you might have on this strange scenario, you can be creative cause I also bought a new HD to replace the lost one, if I can use it as an intermediator could it help as well?

    Thanks in advance,
    tripy.

Last time i knew, you could boot from a Windows CD ROM. Do you have the ME CD ROM?

I am not sure I follow your lead, I didn't use my ME, and it was installed on the hard drive that died... The HD has physical problem, it can't even finish scandisk.

I want to keep using my XP on the D drive which is not loading now. The XP cd don't offer me the repair option.

Please explain your idea better, I didn't understand the solution you offered.
    Thanks,

You should still be able to boot to windows from the CD.
