Have you removed the MusicMatch player? This is the player that is associated with playing your Audio CDs. If you want to use it, you will probably have to remove and reinstall it.

However you can use other players such as Winamp, RealJukebox or Windows CDPlayer.

To reassociate the program used to play AudioCDs to something else, just select (highlight) an AudioCD file and then shift+right click on it. Then select "open with" from the dialog and scroll to and select the player you want to use. Check "always use" and OK

Alternately, you can open any Media player and look for its File Types association page and select AudioCD as a file to associate by default with that player.

I downloaded musicmatch and get the error message "a device attached to this system is not functioning" and filled my screen with 20 questions--are files associated or disassociated or should be associated or reclaim options. every time i rebooted i had to go thru this procedure so i uninstalled musicmatch. I followed your suggestion on winamp and windows media and after opening by shift + right and open with and scrolling to select the player; and checking always use---- my cdrom mp3 music still woild not play. need help
