I started volunteering a veterans outreach center. I was supposed to be a counselor but as soon as they found out I knew my around a computer they have me doing their IT work. Their PCs were donated to them. One has Windows XP and we don't have the password to log on as administrator. I need admin rights to get things done. Of course they don't have the installation CDs for this 10-15 year old computer. Does anyone have any ideas on how I would re-set the password, find out the password, delete the password, ect... (besides using one of those programs we're not supposed to talk about here)

Sorry to report that the site rules prohibit any kind of assistance with passwords.

Passwords - Please do not ask for assistance with forgotten passwords and/or bypassing them. As there is no way to verify the actual situation and/or intentions, no assistance will be provided and any such threads will be closed.

If you mean the special account called Administrator you're out of luck. If that is not what you meant then check out "How to log on with the Administrator account" about 60% into this Microsoft article.
