Lost Program I guess

    I am trying to download games off the internet and when I think its completed, I click open and a box comes up saying ,"Windows cannot find program.exe, this program is needed for opening files of type'my documents' Then right below that it says please locate program.exe

    What kind of file is it you're trying to open?

    If it has a *.zip extension, you'll need a program like WinZip to unpack it.

    If you had Netscape or some other browser installed and then deleted it, this may have caused the problem. You can try this: In Internet Explorer, go to Tools, Internet Options, and click on the Programs tab. At the bottom, click the box that says "reset web settings".

    Some other users at other help boards have posted a problem similar to yours, and they say this fixed it.

    You might also want to run an up-to-date virus scan. Some viruses can cause this kind of behavior.
