I use windows XP operating system and have 2 Altec Lansing speakers. I have loaded microsoft office 2007 and have now lost all sound. I've checked the sound speech and audio devices on the control panel and everything looks fine. Does anyone have any ideas please!!
Thanks,
Jim
Start>All programs>Accessories>System tools>System restore. Select "restore my computer to an earlier time". You'll see a calendar with dates- the possible restore points will be in bold and will be the only dates you'll be able to select by clicking on them. If there is one available before the time you installed office, you can select it and click next.
It will take a couple of minutes and your PC will restart. This procedure can be undone completely and it won't affect your personal files (videos, music, pictures, documents...). But it will affect programs installed after the restore points, you'll have to reinstall those or undo the restoration (probably only office, right?).
