Well, the title line explains it.
A buddy of mine lost the ability of up loading pics from his Kodak Camera dock.
Even tried to go direct between the camera and the port with the cable, Nothing.

I tried John Wills Fix here
But, that didn't seem work. It did reinstall all the devices but when you plug the device back in, windows still doesn't see it.

Here's a HJT log if it helps.
Any help would greatly be appreciated.

    Thanks, Jeff

Does any other devices work? Try the camera on a different computer. Restoring the computer will work, if you restore it back far enough. Check the drivers, make sure they are working.

I just got a chance to run back over there and plugged in my flash drive, It saw it on all four ports.
And my computer does see his camera when I hook it up. Did a Syst restore back to May, no luck.
So, figuring it's a softawre issue, I uninstalled Kodak Easy Share and tried to reinstall it and an error popped up for some *Exe.
Not sure what it was but grabbed a screen shot, But! I forgot to send it here or reference it.
Soon as I get it we'll have a look ok?
AS far as the HJT post, it's clean right?

The error that pops up says, "Internal error2753.kodnotif.exe"
By what I can find with a few google searches is that the kodnotif.exe is part of kodaks "easy Share" software but, I can't find a fix for it.

Try uninstalling the Kodak software, then doing a re-install.

I tried the reinstall, thats when the error pops up. see 3&4 :)

Been researching their site and it looks like they offer a "repair" in the setup somewhere.

My daughter had same problem . She bought a small portable card reader with USB port on one end , with camera card inserted in other end . Plug into USB port on computer . The pictures were saved on first try. If you cant find one look at Tiger diret . com.

FWIW, I have three digital cameras, and my daughters have a few more. I use a FLASH card reader to access all of them. My Casio has a docking station with a USB connection, but it appears as a FLASH disk. None of the camera software has ever been loaded on any of my systems, and we get all the pictures off the cameras just fine. :)
