I recently ran Norton's WinDoctor because I wasn't able to boot up into Windows ME and kept getting DLL files missing errors. I've tried to reinstall ME without any success and don't want to format my drive.

After running Norton there were 19 problems and all of them had a deleted winspool.drv as the source.

Any suggestions, it's driving me nuts

You can get winspool.drv here; I imagine it goes to c:\windows\system but your error messages should tell you that.

What was the problem encountered in reinstalling WinME, which should have replaced the lost file?
