I'd suggest first, going into add/remove programs and uninstall that program. It appears to be a confusing uninstall, so read that link that I posted on uninstalling it.......

Start by going to Start | Control Panel | Add/ remove programs and remove hotbar. I know it makes your computer pretty, but installs loads of trash

then Download and run Spybot

Once installed, start it,
Click Updates | Search for Updates
and if necessary Download Updates

Now Click Search and destroy
Click Check for Problems

It may take a bit of time to do the scan, but when done, put a check mark against the red and green labelled items and click Fix Selected Problems

Once done, repost a new Hijack this log :)

I hope so because one of the wonderful things that that beast offers to do is to remove Spybot, not particularly friendly

Hi, I just saw Candy's PM and request to go over your HJT log.
Give me some time to go thru your log and let's see what we can find.

Sometimes we have to just take a walk around TSG, otherwise we'd go even madder than we already are ;)

In Hijack This, check ALL of the following items. Double check so as to be sure not to miss a single one.
Next, close all browser Windows, and have HT fix all checked.

R0 - HKCU\Software\Microsoft\Internet Explorer\Main,Start Page = http://start.freeze.com
R0 - HKLM\Software\Microsoft\Internet Explorer\Search,SearchAssistant = http://www.hotbar.com/dyn/hotbar/3....rchPageHome.htm

O2 - BHO: MediaLoads Enhanced - {85A702BA-EA8F-4B83-AA07-07A5186ACD7E} - C:\Program Files\MediaLoads Enhanced\ME2.DLL
O2 - BHO: Hotbar - {B195B3B3-8A05-11D3-97A4-0004ACA6948E} - C:\Program Files\Hotbar\bin\4.2.8.0\HbHostIE.dll

O3 - Toolbar: &Hotbar - {B195B3B3-8A05-11D3-97A4-0004ACA6948E} - C:\Program Files\Hotbar\bin\4.2.8.0\HbHostIE.dll

O4 - HKLM\..\Run: [MediaLoads Installer] "C:\Program Files\DownloadWare\dw.exe" /H

O4 - HKLM\..\Run: [KernelFaultCheck] %systemroot%\system32\dumprep 0 -k

O4 - HKLM\..\Run: [Hotbar] C:\Program Files\Hotbar\bin\4.3.2.0\HbInst.exe /Upgrade
O4 - HKLM\..\Run: [EanthologyApp] C:\PROGRA~1\COMMON~1\EACCEL~1\EANTHO~1.EXE /b Startup
O4 - HKLM\..\Run: [WebScan] C:\PROGRA~1\ACCELE~1\ANTI-V~1\DEFSCA~1.EXE -k

EanthologyApp Stop-Sign from eAccelerration. Detects spyware, malware, viruses and keyloggers and stops popups. Spyware itself - read their privacy statement here

IF you are running ME or XP Disable SYSTEM RESTORE : REMEMBER TO RE-ENABLE AND CREAT A NEW RESTORE POINT when you are done.
Here's How

Next reboot into Safe Mode and remove the following files and folders that are bolded

C:\Program Files\MediaLoads Enhanced\ME2.DLL
C:\Program Files\Hotbar\bin\4.2.8.0\HbHostIE.dll
C:\Program Files\DownloadWare\dw.exe" /H

C:\PROGRA~1\COMMON~1\EACCEL~1\EANTHO~1.EXE /b Startup
C:\PROGRA~1\ACCELE~1\ANTI-V~1\DEFSCA~1.EXE -k

See here http://service1.symantec.com/SUPPORT/tsgeninfo.nsf/docid/2001052409420406 for how to start in safe mode if you don't know how.

Reboot into normal mode

Now download Spybot - Search & Destroy (if you haven't got the program installed already)

After installing, first press Online, and search for, put a check mark at, and install all updates.

Next, close all Internet Explorer windows, hit 'Check for Problems', and have SpyBot remove/fix all it finds that are in RED

Reboot

Last, run HJT again and post your log again to see if anything was missed.

Thanks
