I have masses of documents, letters etc saved in the Lotus Wordpro version nine (98.0.2815.0) format, when I had Win 98se.

I'm now using Win XP and Word 2000 (9.0.4402 SR-1 ) how can I easily convert these documents please.

I'm loathe to start all from scratch again (just don't have time anyway). I'd appreciate a speedy reply in very basic lanuage as I'm well stuck on this and need to transmit some work over the net.

A friend said open the old doc in word and it will convert it, all I get is gibberish and indications of page breaks, margins etc that I had made oin the original docs. Thanks a million in advance. Blockhead.

Not good news on the conversion through MS!
There is no supported method by microsoft for converting Lotus WordPro files to Word format. The suggested method is loading wordpro docs into wordpro and saving them as word docs. There is also mention of the two third party programs used for converting.
Have not used them so I cannot vouch for their reliability.
