So I have an Erazer x7843 laptop. It’s worked brilliantly for two years, but when I turned it on two days ago, there was a loud beeping sound, accompanied by the caps and num lock flashing upon startup. After about a minute, the laptop shut down. This has happened every time I’ve trued to start it up.

I’m not tech savvy at all, so any help at all would be appreciated.

Often but not always an overheating problem
The way forward is to check the number of beeps
    and if possible the flashes

However having had a quick look at the laptop on the Medion site I cannot immediately find the beep codes.

As a possible check examine the vents on the laptop to ensure they are not dust choked

Left Side has a ventilation grill and there are five on the underside
3 more or less square shaped and two smaller rectangular ones
    See manual if necessary

Thank you for your reply! Unfortunately I don’t think it’s a heat or a fan problem as I have taken to bottom off and blown the dust out and it still persists. I think it’s possibly a bit of dislodged hardware, is that possible??

Why would you think that has it had a knock or drop of some sort

also have you considered the other parts of my post please
Could you please list all you have tried, so that I do not waste your time and mine by making another suggestion - for you to reply you have tried it, as with the air vents
