Download and run SpyBot and allow it to delete what it finds.

    Run this Online Virus Check

If you still have the problem, download and run HiJackThis and Copy/paste the log it creates, back here in a Reply.

You've still got too many programs loading during startup and running in the background. This is a primary reason for low resources and slow performance. Other than

    ScanRegistry

    SystemTray

    StateMgr

Entries pertaining to the antivirus program

Windows ME needs very few other programs, if any, to be loading during startup and running in the background.

You can probably uncheck and disable most all of the other programs, but the only way to make sure is to research them with the 4 sites that are listed in my MSCONFIG article. The Pac's Portal site is about the best and most detailed site of the 4 sites listed.

You also have some AdWare running.

Run HJT again, select the following items and have HJT delete them.
