OK, I have been fixing my machines all morning, I thought I was done, but the Doctor next door stepped by and we were talking. He said that he has pop-ups, but he has a pop-up blocker and Norton. I told him to download Adaware and that would probably fix the problem, but then he said something that chilled my soul. He said "I also have this Lycos dog icon, what up with that?" I wanted to pull my hair, because now I am pretty sure he has whenusearch, which means a bunch of program files, favorite files, etc will have to be manually removed. I told him I would go over to his house after work and clean his machine. I think I have it down pat after cleaning three machine today with it.
My question is why is this becoming prevalent? Is is just irony that all 4 machines have had it, or is there something going around? Is this really Lycos, or someone just using their name?
Any info. would be great, thanks.
Sorry about so many posts today, but its Friday, which really means nothing except that I am having a bad day.
Maybe I'll move to England where its Saturday so I won't have a bad Friday.:D

Thanks derek, thats what I was looking for. If you don't know where it coming from, then I know the hunt is on. I just thought it was highly unusual to see this many machines that have this infection. Do you know if it really is associated with Lycos?(y) :)
