...but the Linux Server and the PC's can. Not only that, but Samba is up and running on my new Linux server.

The Mac on the network can't ping the Linux server and vise versa. I get "Destination Host Unreachable" on the Linux server and "host is down" on the Mac.

Am trying not to pull my hair out...

The weirdness is compounded by the fact that the Mac sees a different server (RH 7.3) just fine and can Samba with it, no problem.

    I've got Internet on both.

    Anybody have any ideas?
