    I have a Power Computing 180e Mac that I upgraded to a Mac G3.
Recently I bought a Mac OS X from CompUSA but when I inserted the CD to install it I got the message "OS X can not be installed on this computer", apparently because it wasn't an Apple Mac.
Now I'm stuck with an unreturnable OS X because the software package was opened.
Any advice or suggestions would be welcome

According to Apple OS X will not install on an upgraded Mac regardless of model....

You'll either need to get a compatible Mac or sell your software. I'm in the market. I have a blue G3 that I would like to install OS X on. Just haven't gotten around to buying it.
