I use video chatting a lot on my Macbook (OS X Yosemite). Sometimes FaceTime, but normally Facebook Messenger. They always work. Now, recently, nothing works. If I use any videochat program it first says 'connecting video' but then says 'call failed'. I have tried Skype, Facetime and Messenger. I can see myself in my own little box on the screen so I don't think it's a webcam issue. I'm positive I haven't changed any of my settings and I haven't updated my iOS between the time it worked and then stopped working. I then tried to Messenger videochat on my phone to see if the issue was with the app, but that worked fine so the problem was obviously with the computer. Everything else that uses internet works fine, I can watch movies, receive emails etc. I just can't videocall! This is so frustrating - I am in college so away from my family, and also in a long distance relationship so the lack of contact sucks. I can't use my phone to videochat as my college wifi doesn't reach the dorms, so to access the internet you have to use an ethernet cable which can only be plugged into my laptop. Please help!
