My aluminium macbook (late 2008 model) does not turn on ever since it ran out of battery 3 days ago.
I have tried resetting the SMC, NVRAM, PRAM and so forth, but so far all my attempts have been unsuccessful.
When left unplugged, the battery light indicator becomes amber as expected, but the problem is that the battery does not appear to be discharging- except for one, all light indicators are on.
I had been having some issues with the magsafe charger and that could well be the source of the problem but I really don't know what to think....What I find strange is that before this incident, I had to strategically move the wire for it to light up and charge and now that the computer does not turn on, I can move the wire around as much as I like and the lights stay on. This leads me to believe that it might not be charging even if the lights are on.
I thought I should ask before spending money on a charger as it could be something else.
I would appreciate your help and input.
Thank you.
