Macromedia projector error

AMD Athlon 3200 512 ram, two drives ,dvd,cd,trying to install HP scanner drivers in dvd drive, get Macromedia projector error message.But when using cd drive it installs the drivers without any problems.Do you have any idea why,good job got the cd drive woud not be able to use scanner.Thanks
