mail attatchments

...using a free web based email.
...no attatchment scanning there.
..Is there any way to detect viruses in attatchments without having a virus check program installed??
using somebody elses computer and not able to add programs.

and you are taking an extreme risk downloading without an anti virus scanner

In reply about free email virus scan - I think Yahoo offers this when you have an email account.

You could set up a one off account with them - forward it from wherever it is now and when it appears in the Yahoo inbox 'Scan with Norton Anti Virus' should be one of the options.

There may be other suggestions but this is the only one I can think of as I have never used Hotmail I don't know what facils. they offer.

You could run a Google search 'Free Email with integrated virus scan' and see if that turns up anything. No doubt most results will be junk but you might get something useful.
