How do you put a chart in a word merged document and have it updated for every new record?

Edit -- Paste Special -- As XL Chart Object -- Paste Link *on* -- OK worked for me.

I'm trying to figure out how to put a pie chart into a MS Word mail merge, and have the chart updated for each merged file. I followed the directions you posted on this thread two years ago, but it didn't work for me. Instead, the merged files just printed the same data for the pie chart over and over again. I'm working on Windows XP. Any help would be appreciated. Thanks!
