ok first off, excellent job with this website, very informative n useful

i run windows xp pro, i use my computer for everything i do including composing music, artwork, chattin and i have a very large music collection on my hard drive approx. 6000 mp3's....i have a 60 gig hard drive with only 4.20 gigs left

ok here's tha deal.....my pc has been runnin very sluggish for the last 2 months and jus recently it started freein on me, and i noticed a pattern after it freeze's.....when windows xp pro loads, it goes into the system recovery thing(the blue and light blue screen) and it recover's very quickly (from 1% to 100% in approx 4 minutes).....after this happens windows loads normally and within a half hour it freeze's again, and this time when the system recovery loads it takes anywhere from 2 hours too 8 hours :(

thats cool n all but it gets old, BUT THATS NOT ALL yesterday after it took 7 HOURS TOO recover, it goes into safe mode....i restart the computer too get out of safemode and what happens? loads into safe mode again.....so i tried the f8 thing at loadup and i tried the following:
    - run windows normally (still loads into safe mode)
    - run windows at its last good configuration ( still loads into safemode)

so here i am stuck in safemode and afraid i am goin too eventually lose ALL of my work, music and programs

    (n)

if someone can resolve this problem without me having too quick restore, i will reward you with cash....

    FatJohn is desperate for answers!

OK did you install any new software just before this happened or did you install more Ram or other hardware?
Because if it goes into safe mode no problem then it is a driver issue causing your freezing issues most likely .. Or could be a MB issue with capacitors going.

If it just all of a sudden 2 months ago started locking up on you then ask yourself what was new 2 months ago.

Try going into the event viewer in the admin tools in the control panel .. Lok for red X's and try to research them .. and of course like we always say run the spybot and adware programs to dump the spyware in your system

    Try these for starters
