    Hi everybody

I just converted my HDD from dynamic disk to basic disk and after rebooting it seems there are a few problems:

    1. screen savers won't work as I get this message: "screen saver stopped working"
    2. when I "Right Click" on "My Computer" and then on "properties" windows explorer stops working as I get this message: "windows explorer stopped working"
    3. In several options of control panel I experience the same problem as No.2
    4. windows update can't install some of downloaded updates.
    5. I am experiencing very low performance here.

Looks like there is a serious malfunction in Win7.
Is there anyway to check and solve these issues?

    thanks in advance.

    Why did you convert it?

Because I wanted to resize some of my partitions, but partition management programs weren't able to detect the volumes on the disk. they all showed only one big partition on hard disk.
also tried to do it in boot mode, it didn't work either.

    and more bad news:
windows photo viewer just stopped working and I can't open pictures as I get this message: "the remote procedure call failed"
