    Hi,

Boot up with your win cd, go to the recovery console, & type chkdsk /r then press enter.
This will run checkdisk & repair your system files/folders

    Hi,

boot your pc with your winxp cd, dont choose repair or at the first screen, choose to set up windows.
When the pc gets to the screen which shows your partitions, here you will see if you have 2 installations of windows, if you only have 1 then choose to repair this installation & follow the prompts.
