Hi, and good day to y'all,
Hope you are all having an nice 4th week end.

Don't know what has happened to my computer but, my old Lexmark printer needed replaced, so I did, with an HP printer. Since installing the printer have been having many problems.

I am going to copy my hijackthis log in the body of this e-mail, only because I have not been successful in attaching using the link on this site. If someone can please tell me how I would appreciate it.

Also, I wonder if someone can also tell me if my version of the hijackthis program is the current version? v1.98.2.

Thank you
Robert

Many people are having problems with

O4 - HKLM\..\RunServices: [KB891711] C:\WINDOWS\SYSTEM\KB891711\KB891711.EXE

You can uncheck it in msconfig or try and remove via add remove programs

That is an old version

http://thespykiller.co.uk/files/hijackthis_sfx.exe - double click the DL file and click unzip letting it extract to its default folder C:\Program FIles\HiJackThis, run it from there

Can you tell more about your problems

When I click on the file on my desktop, it comes up with a dialog window...Winzip Self-Extractor hijackthis_sfx.exe, then I highlight the file you stated, unzip, and then what?

sorry

Consider uninstalling the HP product, then reinstall and make sure you download the latest drivers/software from HP's website for it.
