    Older games sure can be problematic with Win 10, sometimes you can get a patch or work around, personally haven't much luck.

    You can check if Direct Draw is enabled by going to Start>Run, type dxdiag, and click the Display tab, that window should give you Direct Draw status.

    A Google search of "Age of Empires 2 Windows 10" yields some tricks that have worked for some folks.Maybe you could try some suggestions there....
