make the start bar say something else

    You can <a href=http://www.winguides.com/registry/display.php/791/>change</a> your start menu name to another word five letters or less. Have fun! You can call the start bar the "Happy" Bar or the "Angry" Bar, or anything you want, as long as it's under 6 characters!!! YAY!!!!!

    Just be careful when fooling around with the registry. Back it up before you do anything, or you _WILL_ regret it.

    It's not a registry tweak, as you can see, you need to use a hex editor to edit explorer.exe.

    If you really want to change your Start button, I recommend a little piece of freeware called Hook99. It will change your Start button text AND the icon. Just configure it how you want it, then pit it in your Startup folder.
