Somehow, and I know I must have done it, my Windows media player is no longer the default for playing movies and clips. Now something called Total Video Player is acting as the default player. I must have clicked when I shouldn't have.

\How do I return to Windows Media Player as the default?

You don't say what OS you are using, but with Windows XP go to "Start" and Click on "Set Program Access and Defaults". Open "Custom" and put a Dot in "Windows Media Player", and Clock "Okay". That should do it.
