I've been working on a site for my work and now i need a special area to be able to add inventory to our database. I want to be able to have the directory that you go to be able to be the webpage. As an example, http://www.bwsd.k12.wi.us/business/internet/ If you go to that url you are given a webpage. How do you do that?

    index.html
    index.php
    index.asp

pretty much any "index" page will work. Your server may not be set-up to accept any index page (index.xml for example), in which case you can add it with .htaccess

site.com/directory/index.html is the same as going to site.com/directory
