Does anything in this scan log that would cause an abnormally long bootup?

    • Save HJTInstall.exe to your desktop.
    • Doubleclick on the HJTInstall.exe icon on your desktop.
    • By default it will install to C:\Program Files\Trend Micro\HijackThis .
    • Click on Install.
    • It will create a HijackThis icon on the desktop.
    • Once installed, it will launch Hijackthis.
    • Click on the Do a system scan and save a logfile button. It will scan and the log should open in notepad.
    • Click on "Edit > Select All" then click on "Edit > Copy" to copy the entire contents of the log.
    • Come back here to this thread and Paste the log in your next reply.
    • DO NOT have Hijackthis fix anything yet. Most of what it finds will be harmless or even required.

Do you mean .99 to 1.00GB?

    100GB would be incredible! :)

No no, not hard drive space or capacity. :)

Go to Start > Control Panel > System

Under the General tab, down towards the bottom right should show the memory amount (RAM)

    No problem :)

You have a pretty bloated Startup list. There are a lot of programs running.
If we trim that down, that can probably boost the boot up time.

Any suggestions on what I should cut? I get pretty confused by all the different programs on there that I have never seen before.

Do you want to uninstall anything? Or we can just turn them off from Startup. The programs will still all be installed on the computer. We're just disabling them not removing them.

And there is a very simple way we can do it. Have you ever used msconfig before?

I will see what I can get done and if I run into any problems I will wait till you get back. By the way, do you think I should use an external program to manage my startup programs and if so which one would you recommend?

    TIA
