managed vs. unmanaged switches

    What is the difference between managed and unmanaged switches? What are the pro's and con's of each?

    If you Google: managed and unmanaged switches

    You will find articles directly addressing your question. Including this one:

    "What is the difference between a managed and unmanaged switch?"

    That q/a site requires you to register to access their DB.

    A big difference. If you don't know if you need a managed switch, my guess is you don't. :D
