recently installed Mandrake 9.2 and am having a hard time finding my samba files ( smbd and the other deamon forgot its name). I've heard Mandrake is known for putting things in weird places but i can't seem to find what i'm looking for as root or as a regular user.
This is what i've been using
# find / -name "smbd"
but it returns nothing.
As far as i know i have everything i'm supposed to have:
/etc/samba
lmhosts smb.conf smbpasswd smb-winbind.conf
and the test program to see if smb.conf is properly set up runs as well.
I even DLed some samba rpms but when i try to install they tell me i've already got everything i need (some failed because of dependencies, so i tried the ones that seemed more reasonable)
Any help would be greatly appreciated. Thank you.
