Hi, I'm hoping someone can help me. I had my pc reformatted a couple of months ago but it's never worked prefectly since. Most noticeably whenever I connected to the Internet it would often freeze for a few minutes, and frequently disconnected itself without reason.

More recently it's had major problems booting - it attempts to check FAT32 files but the process causes it to crash before any checks are made. In fact the only way to get to the desktop is to cancel these checks immediately. I've also tried several times to go into safe mode but again the system crashes and it never gets there. As if all this wasn't bad enough, over the last couple of days it's started turning itself off, without warning, when I'm in the middle of something. Therefore I can't be on the pc for more than 10 minutes at any one time.

A couple of programmers told me that they think the problem could be with Windows not being loaded properly when it was reformatted, and they advised me to do it again. I went on the internet and found out how to do this but the computer refused to co-operate - when I loaded the XP disk and chose the 'install' option, it wouldn't let me get to the next stage. Unfortunately I don't know why cos my system is in Polish, which I don't speak very well. I tried another method of rebooting while the XP CD is in the drive, but that did nothing and I had exactly the same booting problems as I described above. Is there any other way to reformat the hard drive?

I've attached a HJT log. Thanks in advance for your help
