I'm using Word 2007. When I try to send the document as an attachment in the Word program I get the following error: "Word couldn't send mail because of MAPI failure: "unspecified error"." I have followed all the trouble shooting steps that Word suggested to no avail.

If your email client (such as Outlook, Outlook Express, Eudora, etc.) uses MAPI (Messaging Application Programming Interface) technology and you see this error, try launching your email program while Word is running and send the document from Word again. Microsoft also recommends saving the document you are trying to email, closing and restarting Word, opening the saved document, and making another attempt to email it. (From
    http://www.smartcomputing.com/edito...es/2004/w1509/17w01/17w01.asp&ArticleID=23684)

    also, possibly read this
    http://www.eggheadcafe.com/software/aspnet/29345621/word-couldnt-send-email.aspx

Finally, MS has several pages on this problem for 2003 and earlier - basically they say what the first paragraph above does.

I have tried all those things and have not been able to resolve the issue.:( I can't even get rid of it by uninstalling Microsoft office and reinstalling it.

Thanks so much for your suggestions though.

Unfortunately, I find zero, zip, nada about this problem with regard to 2007.
On the other hand, you're a pioneer!
