That depends on what you mean by "mask an IP" . Some proxies have NAT (Network Address Translation) built into them, which would allow you to run a complete network behind the proxy, and only display the proxies address to the internet. This would generally be a function of a firewall though. There is software available for just about any OS that can handle this function.

Well, something to show a different IP to the one I'm really using so that no one from the Internet knows what my actual IP address is. That's why I mean. I'm referring to the IP that my ISP assigned me that is.
Any ideas on what I'm talking about? Any ideas on how to do this?
curiosity. I read about it in a couple of places and I just want to know how it works.
Also, I've got a router but I've had to open a few ports to get some things to work properly and I don't really want to close the ports since that'll mess up a few things but this might be a bit risky for me
