    my dell laptop charger cord is giving me trouble and allowed computer battery to go really low. it said battery critically low, press f1 to continue. enter password. I don't have a password. after trying anything I might have ever used, it says, exceeded maximum attempts, please enter master password. I can’t get into my computer. what do I do?

    We cannot help with passwords here, it is against forum rules, sorry.

    If you are the original owner of the laptop you can call Dell for support on this problem.

    I just wanted to know if anyone knew why it did this when the battery went low?

    The cmos (bios) got scrambled.
