    Hello,
Just found this site and hoping to get some help.
I have a Maxtor One Touch 500GB external hard drive. When I connect the drive to my computer, it doesn't show up in My Computer. It shows up in device manager and in disk management. It says the drive is unallocated. I have files on this drive that I need to keep. Is there a way to recover the partition and repair the drive? The drive does the same thing on a Windows 7 computer and a Windows XP one.
