If you're using Windows XP Professional SP3 32-bit and have it configured with the POSReady registry tweak so it can continue to receive security updates through April 2019, a total of 9 updates for May 2018 are available at the Microsoft Update Catalog site.

2 more updates were later released, so there are actually 11 updates for May 2018.

    Hi Frank :)

Out of curiosity, do those updates provide a realistic coverage of/for security?
( I no longer use XP, just curious)

    John:

I use my Windows XP Professional SP3 32-bit computer ONLY for testing purposes so I can monitor which apps it continues to support.
When I go on-line with it, I use the Mozilla Firefox 52.8.1 ESR browser and the Avast Free Antivirus 18.4.3895 antivirus app.
I keep all supported apps up-to-date and properly maintain it.
So far, I haven't had any security-related issues with it.

Once a modern up-to-date browser and antivirus app no longer support Windows XP, I'll consider it to be "extinct".

    Frank :)
