I've got a HP laptop w/ Media Edition and would like to use it as a monitor for composite A/V from the Dish Satellite. MCE insists that I plug in the IR blaster and 'channel changer' before I can do this. That's too much clutter. Any easy way around this?

HP sends a tv tuner along with this model that includes a 'blaster' and 'receiver' but the receiver module is big and ungainly and since I can change channels just as well with the satellite remote I don't need the HP set. I don't intend to record off the satellite as to need to have MCE change channels; just use the laptop as a monitor and the tv tuner as a audio/video input device as I work with misc. apps. I have a Sony Viao on the LAN that can send video across the ethernet cable but the picture quality is poor and I can't control the size well enough. Thank you for the reply and the link.
