I know that you can't post the product key here ,I lost mine.
But think I might have found it, not sure plain white paper wrapper with 6 digit number on a small white sticker, like a dummy I stored it in a zippered case. Its Windows ME oem version came with my pc, I wish I had known the importance of the product key sooner, but thats part of learning.
Any ideas how to verify if this is key?
    Thanks Steve

The WIndows product key is five sets of five characters, like this:

    xxxxx-xxxxx-xxxxx-xxxxx-xxxxx

You should be able to find your product key by searching the registry for this key

    [HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\SOFTWARE\Microsoft\Windows\CurrentVersion]

Sorry, didn't realize you had no way to get to the registry. My Dell Product ID is on the side of the case (just in case ... :D); you might be better off emailing your OEM company instead of Mickeysoft.

If it's an OEM version of Windows, Microsoft probably won't help you. You should contact the computer manufacturer.
