I have several computers in my office. They are all Dell pentium III
128meg running Windows ME. None of them shut down properly.
They either freeze or almost shut down (blank screen except for
flashing curser about 80% of the way down the screen) I have
went thru all the steps in windows trouble shooter. Any ideas??

The onboard WinME troubleshooter is only part of the process needed to find what could be hanging the shutdown process.
Take a look at this article from MS on ME shutdown problems and another item way at the bottom about the webcast I found rather good when I went through it. Might be worth your time to go through the webcast.
