    Welcome to TSG gazza'.

When did this problem begin? Did you install or uninstall anything recently?

Can you go to this site and follow directions for posting a copy of your StartupList (not the SCAN log)?

It may take us a while to sort this out, but we want to start by cleaning the system of the spy, ad and junkware that has gotten installed.

The first thing to do is to download, install and update Spybot following the directions here:

    http://tomcoyote.org/SPYBOT/

Before actually running it and having it remove things, go to Add/Remove programs and look for WebHancer and remove that and then restart.

Then run spybot and have it 'fix' (remove) all the prechecked items it finds. You can ignore the ones not checked. Be sure to reboot afterwards and then run it a second time.

I don't think it will remove these two buggers, so we will probably have to deal with them later:

    >> HotVideo_au = c:\program files\dialers\hotvideo_au\hotvideo_au.exe /noconnect

    >> Adult_Chat = C:\WINDOWS\Adult_Chat.exe -n

For now, go to start> run, enter mconfig and uncheck those two under the startup tab. You will need to reboot afterwards

Once you have run Spybot twice (reboot each time), post another copy of the startuplist and let us know if you are still experiencing the original problem.

Sorry to hear that! After what point did it not reboot, and were there any error messages? Nothing suggested should have been particularly risky if carried out a step at a time.

It didn't reboot after I unticked selective startup and ticked normal start!
    Not back from repairs yet!
    Thank
