Hello all, what a great forum. I'm having a problem with media player telling me that windows media player is not configured for the internet. Connect via a cable modem so am always online. my neighbor has the same setup as myself and never has a problem. Hope someone here can walk me through this. thank you

I tried all the suggestion in that link, nothing worked. internet connection wizard will not allow me access, its looking for an administrator. didn,t think win98 had those controls. removed that line from the reg. and still no access allow.

    Okay

Rightclick on the ZA icon near your clock, and choose Restore ZoneAlarm Control Centre.

Programs tab. Look for mplayer or Media player. It will have the player icon.

Rightclick on it, and make sure the following is selected:

Local Network: Allow, and Ask server has a ?
    Internet: as above
