    hi,
I upgraded to windows media player 9 just under a month ago.
its beginning to shut down due to errors and it can freeze alot of the time.
has anyone encountered this sort of problem with it before?

    Hi :)

Personally I'm not that fond of WMP.
Can you post any of the errors you are encountering?
    Have you tried uninstalling/reinstalling it?

    thanks for the reply,
how can I uninstall windows media player?
I went into its folder and there was no option to uninstall it.
would I have to maybe upgrade it up to player 10 instead?

What version of Windows are you using?

It can most likely be uninstalled In Control Panel, Add/Remove Programs.

Or yes you could upgrade to WMP 10 if you wanted.
Are you using it to listen to music? watch videos?
