    Hi,
Is there any technology that allows the sharing of media player?
Such as, I am watching a movie on DVD or VCD and my sister can use her computer to view what I am watching. I can send pics by e-mail, I can send streaming video, videos created by webcam, etc, so I wondered if media player sharing was possible. Or copy a DVD somehow on a file and send to my sister so she can open that file and view the same DVD on her media player.
    thanks for replies

    Hiya

You can copy DVD's only if you have a DVD-RW, or DVD-R. And, a burning program, such as Nero.

is she on the same network, or across the Web? Also, which version of WMP and Windows are you using?

    Regards

we are not on a network....so I guess that means she is across the web. I have the media player that came with Windows XP.
So, if I burned a DVD or VCD, which converts it into a file, I could send her the file and she open it and play it on her media player, or she could burn it onto a DVD or VCD and then play that on her computer DVD rom?
Since she can see me on my webcam, I just wondered if there was a way for her to see other things such as a movie I was watching on my computer, if there was some way for our computers to "share" video, etc.
    Thanks

    Okay

Are you going to burn it as a VCD or DVD, then send her the disk, or send her the files, so that she can burn them herself? If its the latter, sending large emails may be hard, as many ISP's don't allow that size (~650MB)

Anyway, you can send small files to her, and she can create a VCD from them. Not too sure about DVD'd, unless she has a DVD RW or DVD R

Maybe others may have an idea about the sharing Media Players, as I don't use XP, but I'm pretty sure it can't be done.
